It is certified under the OCS (Organic Content Standard), has passed dermatological testing, and features a 100% organic cotton cover produced using a chlorine-free bleaching process—making it suitable even for delicate skin. The OCS certification is an international standard that verifies the organic content of materials used in a product.
The product also holds Dermatest certification from a German dermatological research institute, where it received an “Excellent” rating, confirming minimal skin irritation and suitability for sensitive skin. Beyond its organic cotton cover, Atomy Pureday is formulated to be health-conscious, with no detectable harmful substances such as 10 types of heavy metals, radon, 26 allergens, and 10 types of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Most sanitary pads on the market use a chemical polymer absorbent known as SAP (superabsorbent polymer) in the core layer beneath the cover, which plays a key role in rapid liquid absorption. SAP is a synthetic material typically based on polyacrylic acid (PAA) or sodium polyacrylate. For some users with delicate or reactive skin, it may contribute to dryness or irritation, and concerns have been raised about microplastic release during disposal.

Atomy Pureday replaces chemical polymer absorbents with natural pure pulp, helping to minimize skin irritation and offering peace of mind for those who prefer more natural feminine care products. It also features a hole-type topsheet created using a special waterjet process that uses ultra-high-pressure water, reducing lint and shape distortion while enhancing softness and absorbency.

Disposing of a sanitary pad can sometimes feel like a burden on the environment. With this in mind, Atomy Pureday uses a USDA-certified bio-based film for its waterproof layer, made from sugarcane extract. This USDA certification, issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, recognizes environmentally responsible products that help reduce environmental impact and lower their carbon footprint.
