The cookware you use not only affects the flavor of your food but also the health of your loved ones. Poorly coated pans can release toxic substances into your meals. That's why the Atomy Medicook Ceramic Frying Pan, which is free from such dangers, and the Atomy Scratch-Free Scrubber, designed to prevent scratches on your cookware, are essential additions to your kitchen.

Why You Should Ditch Your Old Frying Pan

The frying pan is one of the most frequently used kitchen tools, yet many are unaware of the risks associated with older, coated pans. In the U.S. and Europe, the sale of fluoropolymer-coated frying pans has been banned, and over half of households use safer ceramic pans. However, in Korea, where such regulations are not enforced, many people still use Teflon-coated pans made from synthetic materials. However, in Korea, where such regulations are not enforced, many people still use Teflon-coated pans made from synthetic materials. If your frying pan has scratches, it's time to replace it, as it can continue to release PFAS and other harmful metals like aluminum into your food. For a healthier kitchen and safer cooking, consider switching to stainless steel, ceramic-coated, or cast iron pans.

Ceramic Coating: A Safe, Carcinogen-Free Choice

The Atomy Medicook Ceramic Frying Pan is free from harmful substances like PFAS (PFOA and PFOS), thanks to its 9-layer coating that includes the 8th generation XTREMA ceramic coating (7 layers), along with aluminum and cold spray technology. Unlike typical fluoropolymer coatings, the XTREMA™ process is eco-friendly and made from natural minerals. This innovative coating method, developed independently, ensures that none of the 224 high-risk substances identified by the European Chemicals Agency, nor heavy metals like lead, cadmium, mercury, and arsenic, are present. It also guarantees the absence of 183 types of PFAS, which are known to be harmful to human health. The frying pan also features cutting-edge cold spray technology, which applies high-temperature gas at high pressure without using adhesives. This results in superior performance on induction stoves, making it more responsive than standard frying pans. Additionally, it produces less noise, causes fewer scratches on induction surfaces and the pan itself, and has a smooth bottom that makes cleaning easier.

This eco-friendly coating process is made from natural minerals and developed with independent technology. It represents the latest in safe, healthy coatings, ensuring no harmful PFAS emissions.

Atomy MediCook Ceramic Frying Pans are crafted using a whole-cast process, making them thicker for better heat retention and increased durability. To maintain the coating over time, it's recommended to coat the entire pan with oil before its use. Due to its high heat efficiency, it's best to use this pan on low to medium heat for optimal cooking results.

While people in Europe and the United States typically use fluffy sponges for cleaning flat dishes, many Koreans rely on abrasive scrubbers to tackle stuck-on rice grains. However, using such abrasive pads on coated frying pans can cause physical and chemical damage to the coating, ultimately shortening the pan's lifespan. The newly launched Atomy Scrubber is an abrasive-free solution that not only prevents scratches but also enhances cleaning power, allowing you to safely clean all your coated kitchen appliances without worry.

Featuring a three-layer structure, this scrubber is made up of antibacterial non-woven fabric, an antibacterial polyurethane sponge, and antibacterial filter foam, which can be used separately based on your cleaning needs. Plus, it’s certified 99.9% antibacterial, so you can use it confidently, knowing it’s been tested and recognized by a reputable regional testing center with the SF certification mark.
